40 Weeks, 4 Days
Today my darling girl has been outside my womb {approximately} as long as she was in it. 40 weeks and 4 days. She is now 19 pounds and 2 ounces, 28 inches long, laughing, babbling, clapping, waving, sitting, standing, rolling, reaching, and just on the verge of crawling. She loves being naked, and would play in the bath for hours. Sleeping is not something she does so well, but we're working on it. She has two teeth, and they're both sweet. She'll only eat green veggies if they're mixed with fruit, and she LOVES these mixed berry yogurt snacks. She drinks water from from a sippy cup and eats 2-3 "solid" meals each day. She still loves to nurse and I cherish that time with her. She is changing so quickly, I'm just trying to keep up.
Some days I think I should give up blogging. Because I rarely make the time for it anymore, and I often feel guilty for that. I still Twitter, and I record short daily notes on my phone, but I seldom have the energy or the enthusiasm to write a longer blog post.
But when I think about quitting, I go back and read old posts, and the memories and emotions come rushing back. And I am so thankful that I have those words to help me remember the details I would otherwise forget. And I know that I can't give up.
