When you're pregnant, everyone tells you to "stock up on sleep." Toward the end of my pregnancy, I began to find this particularly annoying. As I said before, sleep isn't something you can store away for later, though admittedly, it'd be nice if it was.
This has become a bit of a joke between John and I, and after a few sleepless nights this week, we had this conversation via text when I learned a co-worker is expecting a girl, due in May.
Me: {My coworker} is having a girl.
John: Tell him to store up his sleep while he can!
Me: Dangit. Forgot to get my sleep out of storage this morning!
John: I grabbed three hours from the deep freezer. Feeling like a kid again.
Me: Thank goodness we stocked up on sleep before.

hahaha, you said it! i hated when people said that too....ugh....i wish it were true tho!
This is awesome! ;) Not to mention that it is virtually impossible to sleep at the end of a pregnancy (at least for me). I'm looking forward to having middle of the night company, at this point... even if it is crying. ;)
Actually, there is some evidence in favor of the 'sleep bank' idea:
