mommyspeak

I often find myself speaking in the third person these days.

"Mama's coming, munchkin!"
"Will you smile for Mama?"
"Mama loves you, do you know that?"

And then I'll speak for my three-week-old daughter.

"What are you doing to me, Mama?"
"Stop kissing me, Mama!"
"Feed me, Mama!"

I find this mildly annoying, but I don't intend to do anything about it. Though I promise I'll stop speaking for her when she turns 18.

So sweet! I noticed that lately too..We talk to my nephew in the third person when explaining something to him. "Aunt Jenn has to go to the store". He's going to be five. I think it's time to stop =)

I talk for my little guy all the time, it's going to be funny when he starts talking for himself and I discover what he's really saying...

Oh that picture of her is just precious! I imaginge I'll do something similar, and also wonder how many times we'll actually call her by her name since she already has so many nicknames. :)
